Final Words and Thoughts and Reflections For those of you that will be meeting after lunch with your collaborative teams - you need to be sure that all curriculum teams update the group on where we are and what we need to do to be sure all teachers in the grade level are using the most updated copy of the curriculum maps so that we are all consistent with our subjects. It is important that all teachers know where to find your curriculum resources. Grades PS-6 should have all of theirs on their grade level wikis.
For LA and Math - Christina and Amy, our consultants have been storing those materials in the dropbox or sending them to the team. You will need to let our teams know where they are stored and how to access them. All LA & Math curriculum teams are responsible to be sure an updated curriculum map to the Curriculum Department this school year by May 1, 2012 (submit both a digital and hard copy). If you look at the side of this Edgewood COS Wiki, we will be updated the maps here. This wiki site is intended to be used by Edgewood Teachers only.
We will be moving to a new format as we transition to the common core and the new standards. It will be important that our format is very similar to what is expected by the core. Edgewood's format will be consistent for grades K-12. The Core is suggesting we develop all of our units as 6-Week Units. That is our thinking at this time. They have created exemplars that we can model after - use parts of - etc. Some of us have looked at a few of these today. We will be looking at this more in the future.
